On our creative path, we often come across unusual complicated projects. Many studios refuse to take risks and experiment, and this decision is logical, as failure will definitely influence the reputation. We take up almost every order. And today we are going to tell you about the project of the bedroom, which became one of our favorites and, we hope, will also become yours.
So, in spring Andrey Sokruta design studio started realization of the project we were eager to fulfill for a long time. We will not describe all the details, but a decorative element on the wall is definitely worth your attention. It looks like a wood mosaic made of big hexahedrons.
At the very beginning we should note, that the first problem lied in the material of the construction. Today you can mainly see those elements made of gypsum and concrete. However, producing such a wall of wood is rather complicated and moreover very expensive.
After a long searching of the company ready to help us with the project’s realization, we finally found a perfect partner. The company fitted us both in timing of completing the order and in pricing.
Then, there were a couple more problems: the geometry of the construction and picking the wood type. The first variant of geometry we offered to the customer was not accepted, so this was the issue where we put a lot of efforts too. Also, searching of the perfect tilt angle for every element was a long process, as all the elements of the mosaic had to be placed at different angles. After three ranges of edits the geometry was finally accepted.
The next step was choosing the tree shade. A noble and at the same time low-key color – this is what we were looking for. As a result, we got very pleasant and warm hue of the wood. The complete composition with the furniture and other interior elements looks stylish and harmonic.
After all the details had been produced by our partner, we started mounting. The idea of the construction was that all its parts would be installed at different angles, and the game of light and shade would create the feeling of different wood shades. It was the difficulty of the design, what complicated the process of mounting. That is why the deadline was prolonged.
We can proudly say, that today the decorative wall is fully completed and approved by the customer. Now we are waiting for all the other works upon the object to be finished to organize the final photoshoot and share the pictures with our readers.
